Paul Morgan

Rehab Assistant

Where are you from?
I was born in Bolton and lived there most of my life. I have just recently moved to Leyland.

Where did you study/ work previously?
I left school and joined the army. At the start of my basic training, I became ill and left the army on a medical discharge. I then started working at Eaton Transmissions, where I learnt my trade as an HGV fitter for 27 years.

What is a typical day at MTS like for you?
Every day is so different, from supporting clients to achieve their walking goals, cooking, shopping, and supporting clients with their ongoing Physio treatment plan.

What’s the best thing about your role?
The best part of being a rehab assistant is working with different clients and helping them reach their goals. It's a hugely rewarding job, and every day is a learning day. I'm very lucky to say I love my job.

What do you consider is your biggest achievement within your role?
Relationship building. I enjoy building a relationship with all clients and all their support network teams, from attending MDT meetings following OT treatment plans and working alongside physios. As the saying goes .. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step!
